Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a plastic surgery procedure used to enhance the shape and size of breasts. It is the recommended procedure when you wish to change the size of smaller or asymmetrical breasts, or you simply want to regain the volume that was lost after weight loss, pregnancy or ageing.

There are two kinds of breast implants or prostheses; silicone and saline. The doctor will present to you all available options regarding the prostheses type, size and shape according to your body measurements. Together with the doctor, you will decide which breast implant best fits you in order to achieve a natural-looking result.

  • Breast implants are placed through inconspicuous skin incisions that are hidden in the infra-mammary fold, around the areola or inside the axilla. The placement of the prostheses over or under the muscle will be discussed with the doctor during your consultation.

  • Breast augmentation surgery is done under general anesthesia and might require an overnight stay, especially when combined with other procedures. Recovery depends on the extent of the procedure. Return to everyday activities begins gradually from the first post-op day and is completed within 2-3 weeks.

  • Results are fascinating and long-term although changes in body weight and/or pregnancy can alter the appearance of the breasts.

Breast Lift

Breast lift rearranges and reshapes the breasts in order to provide a younger look and firmer feel.

The procedure of breast lift, also known as mastopexy, reverses the consequences of aging, pregnancy and weight loss, transforming flat and ptotic breasts into young looking ones. The doctor recommends the use of silicone implants in selected cases to augment the volume and sustain long-term results.

Skin incisions are hidden around the areola and in more ptotic breasts a vertical incision might be necessary, extending down towards the infra-mammary fold.

  • The procedure is done under general anesthesia and an overnight stay may be required, especially when combined with other procedures.

  • Return to everyday tasks begins from the first post-op day with more normal activity within 1-2 weeks.

  • Results are long-term although changes in body weight, pregnancy and aging may alter the appearance of the breasts.
